The Cavan Way is a gentle 23km (6 hour) walking trail starting from the village of Dowra. Travelling northward on country paths you reach the source of the River Shannon, the magical Shannon Pot. The route then enters the limestone karst landscape of the Cuilcagh and onto the village of Blacklion on the shores of Lough Macnean Lower.
