Lurganboy beach (also know as Port Beach) is a sandy beach located in a rural area north of Clogherhead village in county Louth. It is a remote rural beach with wide sandy shores and a wide range of flora and fauna including the Marsh Orchid. The beach is fronted by a mature dune area which is perfect for picnics. On a clear day the beach offers stunning views of the Mourne mountains. This beach is lifeguard patrolled during the bathing season (lifeguard patrol times are posted on the noticeboard at the beach).
