Front strand is a stunning sandy beach located beside Youghal town and it a perfect beach for walking, swimming and relaxing. Front Strand also leads into Claycastle Beach also Blue Flag and onto Redbarn. It is a very popular beach with residents and visitors. Ballyvergen Marsh, of ornithological and botanical interest and of regional importance is located in the area. Access to the beach is by steps and ramps.
