Ballyhiernan bay and beach is on the Fanad Peninsula in north west of Co Donegal, Ireland and is a Discovery Point on the Wild Atlantic Way. Ballyhiernan Bay is divided into 3 smaller bays, one of which, Trabane is the most Westerly. This entire sandy beach is over 2.5km long and is backed by sand dunes with rocky headlands on either side. It is a popular beach for walking and is a well known surfing beach.
