The White Strand Blue Flag Beach is a 500m long sandy beach located in a designated natural heritage area with stunning archaelogical and historical sites nearby such as the impressive Ballycarbery Castle and the two amazing stone forts of Cahergal and Leacanabuaile. The beach is popular with locals and offers beautiful views of Valentia Island and Begnis Island and offers great nearby walks such as Dolus Head. This beach is located 3 miles west of Cahirciveen Town (which is accessible via the N70 from Killarney) over the bridge located near Cahirciveen Heritage Centre/ Barracks.
