Keem is a small sandy beach set in a rural area of Achill Island and sheltered by cliffs in a glorious horseshoe bay. The cliffs support a rich amount of plants and animals and bird and wildlife watching is very good here.
The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season (lifeguard times are displayed on the information board at the beach). There are lifebuoys and torpedo buoys available on the beach. The has access ramps for disabled people but does not have disabled toilet facilities.
