The Caragh Lake and River system holds a large stock of wild Brown Trout, has good runs of Salmon each year and Sea Trout fishing at the lower end.

Caragh Lake is located to the west of Killarney town between the lively town of Killorglin and the village of Glenbeigh, north of the McGillicuddy Reeks mountain range. It is one of the many freshwater lakes in Kerry and is a great spot for fishing and recreational boat trips, surrounded by the stunning scenery.
